The inspiration originated from the owner's island diving trip.
The sea women were an ancient profession on the verge of disappearing. In East Asia and Southeast Asia, it was the oldest diving culture for thousands of years.
The sea women are a group of special women who make a living by the sea. They can dive underwater without any breathing apparatus and collect sea creatures such as pearl oysters, abalones, and sea snails.
The sea women are a dangerous yet romantic profession. They are the best divers. Taking a deep breath, they like "mermaids" plunge into the ocean floor. They worship the sea god and believe that all the treasures they catch are bestowed by the sea god. And the most outstanding sea women are often regarded as "sea daughters".
"The Seaman's Diary" is a collection of memories from the seamen. Ancient shell fossils, water droplets, waves, sand grains, wine bottles...
With flowing sculptural design, the free recombination of memory elements, and high-precision handcrafted zircon inlay techniques, it presents a unique artistic and romantic atmosphere, interpreting the ancient memories of the seamen.
